Everybody’s Coffee at Café Heiner

The place to meet friends, new and old, and enjoy a wonderful Viennese coffeehouse. Children welcome.

(We do not meet on Wednesdays that are Austrian holidays or if the General Meeting is on a Wednesday.)

 

General Meetings

 

AWA's monthly general meetings provide a venue for socializing, keeping up with the latest news, and signing up for tours and activities. Speakers include musicians, authors, university professors, fashion designers, social entrepreneurs, travel professionals, wine experts, and representatives from government and non-governmental organizations in and around Vienna.

 

AWA members coordinate a wide range of activities, special events, meetings and excursions.  For a complete listing of our current activities, please consult our calendar. We are always interested in starting new activity groups. If you have a talent or interest you would like to share, please contact the AWA office.

 

Activities

We currently offer the following activities:

 

German Conversation Groups for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced German speakers; French Conversation Group for Intermediate French speakers; Bartering, Bible Study, Book Discussion Group, Duplicate Bridge, Mah-Jongg, Needlework, Nordic Walking, Scrapbooking

 

Each week, meet new friends at the Wednesday Coffee at Cafe Heiner.

 

Events

 

We also hold monthly social events: Friday Night Social, Girl's Night Out, Seniors Luncheon.

 

Friday Night Social

These monthly events take us to restaurants fancy and simple. Spouses and partners are invited, but come alone if your significant other is unavailable. Please contact the AWA Office for the details and locations and to let us know if you will be joining us.

 

Girls’ Night Out

Join us each month at a different restaurant for good food and conversation! Please call the AWA Office to find out all the details and to attend.

 

Seniors Luncheon
