Fundraising Projects

Give-a-Gift

This annual project for Caritas – Familienzentrum is coordinated by our Give A Gift Committee each Fall. Thanks to the committee's hard work and the generous donations of AWA members and others, we have presented Caritas with hundreds of Christmas gifts for needy children over the years.

Past Projects: Holiday Bazaar and Other Events

November 2007 and 2008: Holiday Bazaar These events raised thousands of Euros which were distributed to support selected charities helping women and children.

September/October 2007: School Supplies Collection to benefit orphan children in Romania.  Project Centipede was the recipient of donations we received from AWA members.

June 2007: Second-Hand Fashion Clothing Sale The AWA office was transformed into a very special boutique for our first ever fashion sale. Many members and friends donated very nice items for all seasons, including well-known labels like Versace, Ferragamo, Escada, etc.  For two days at the beginning of the month, members and the general public were invited to shop for some terrific buys with all the proceeds going to our Charity Distribution fund.
